pictures pictures pictures

so i've finally figured out how this picture thingy works. now for some explaining...

the puppies were born in january, the pics of the really little ones are when they were only a few hours old. soooo cute. we were hoping to get the one with the black back and the v's down it. but sadly (?) he's looking like he'll be a really good show dog, so we probably won't be able to have him. joanie named him pt barnum for now so it'll go nicely with bailey. (as in pt barnum and bailey, in case that wasnt clear =) so anywho, mothers in toronto right now, getting to see them and play with them, while i'm here, being stressed. oh well. so the other pictures are of the last project we did. its a window banner system and its currently actually hanging in the entranceway of our building.

what else is new, oh i've kinda kept cooking, just not as often.. i made pasta perogies over reading week. they were really good but they took for friggn ever, (mostly cuz i didnt know what i was doing) but i'm not in a hurry to make a 3 hour dinner again any time soon. i bought 2 skirts and a blazer/jacket the other day =) who would have thought! mother and i also went to the international women's show, which was cool - lots of free food and stuff! it was a much better weekend then the one before when i had tonsilitis and strepp throat - woot.

anywho, back to work

Weekend.!.

So this has been a crazy week and so I haven't gotten a chance to write much.

Firstly I've decided to learn how to cook more stuff, so last weekend I made turkey pot pie which was pretty good and I thin others like it since there was non left for me to take for lunch. And tonight I made spaghetti sauce. In combo with spaghetti, and sausages, which I did know how to make already.

Secondly, studio started this week... Fun times. So Monday at 1pm we get this project worth 5% that's due Friday at 4pm online . In theory this is doable but kinda annoying. However, mums surgery was Friday morning at 10 and so I'm gonna be at the hospital all day and Thursday I have class from 2:30 to 9 so that gives me til Thursday at noonish to finish most of it up. So its been a kinda stressful week in that regard. But I got it done, and now I just have to present it tomorrow in 2 minutes or less and hear the potentially brutal comments and its over.

mums doing pretty well, pretty tired and stuff, but not much pain yet. When the nerves that were all cut start to regenerate is the worst part apparently. She seems to have more movement this time though, even though its on the right side, like she can pour her own tea if its in a small pot and she has a pretty big range of movement which is good.

today I got a surprising amount accomplished. I finished the last parts of my room, emailed the 10 people I've been meaning to all month, made dinner, put away my laundry, bound all my notes from the fall, played warcraft, read through two assignments, put away all the Christmas lights and did all the dishes. I was impressed =) all that's left is to practice my presentation a few times and go to bed early. I'm working on figuring out the photo program so I can put up pics of my uber clean room, I'm pretty sure its never been near this clean.

btw, I finished wicked and its pretty good, there's a few parts I'm not sure I like how they didn't deal with them completely but overall it was really good. And apparently the guy has another book called "confessions of an ugly stepsister" which is even better so I may have to find that one too.

Anywho, off to presentate! Auf Wiedersehen.

the log farm

So today I took my mother to the log farm which is where I spent several days a week when I was a kid. Its been bought by lone star and they have it open on weekends as a tearoom. So I figured itd be fun to go and see it once again and have tea. So we headed out and went to see all the animals. they had a 600 pound pig, it was friggin huge! There was also 2 cows, 4 sheep. 4 chickens, a rooster, and 3 horses. They were all cute and we happened to be there when the guy was feeding the animals so we luckily got to see them all, plus he opened all the farmhosue buildings so we could see them again. It was cool. And then we went to the tea shop place where this one lone girl was sitting waiting for people to come. So we sat down and ordered tea. And then looked at the menu, which had a choice of soup and 4 kinds of sandwiches. So she comes bakc and we're like "what kind of soup?" and so we each pick a soup and a sandwich, but it turns out, their out of the stuff to make 2/4 of the sandwiches... so we repick our sandwiches and then she comes back to tell us the kettle is working really slow and can she get us free drinks while we're waiting for our tea, and we're like no its ok don't worry about it. We then proceed to hear her heating up the canned soup in the microwave which i tohught was hilarious!! anyways, it was all very good, but quite comical. Wefelt bad for the poor girl who was running around trying to make stuff without any ingredients. Oh and then they had no milk for the tea so she was trying to call someone to bring us some... =) I think the management assumes no one will come so they dont stock up and so the poor girl that works there gets stuck telling people they dont have anything. So it sucks for her, but we had a good time. The rest of the day has been spent cleaning my room more =S It is progressing though, its stopped getting more messy and has started to look better. Anywho, studio starts tomrorow which is frightening... but we'll see how it goes.

back to cleaning
au revoir

So far this year...

Ok so it seems to already be the 8th, and so this whole keeping up to date thing hasn't worked out so well apparently. Oh well. So New Years day, our yearly dinner with Jane and Jim was at our house. Which meant that my Dad was in charge of all the cooking. He made veal cordon bleu and these good mashed potatoes with red peppers in them and these funny little carrot muffin things that werent muffins but looked like them. Cordon bleu means the veal was stuffed with swiss cheese and ham and then breaded. It was very good. Plus, Barbara brought shitake mushroom dip and artichoke dip, and paul made a pear meringue frozen cake kinda thing. It was all very good but i thought i was gonna explode by the end of the night =).

So then, I dont really remember what exactly happened the next few days, most likely played nintendo with jerome, worked on my puzzle or some combination of those. Which is what happened most days until now. we've gotten along in Paper Mario, Kim: you'll like it cuz you can fly on yoshis back, turn paper thin, turn into a paper aeroplane etc. oh and Jerome taught me how to play world of warcraft, which i must admit is pretty cool. I have a little dwarf person whose super short, it's great.

The only other thing i've really been up to is reading my book, Wicked, whic is very interesting and addictive. Oh yes and there was the first day of classes, which was irritating cuz our professor spent 2 hours trying to make sure we thought the course outline was ok, changing the marking scheme, around until it was back to the way he had it originally and getting us to make groups with a certain number of people from each program and then, back talked if students didnt want to work with others... so annoying. anywho, other than that it was kinda nice to see everyone again.

Jerome left this afternoon and then my mother and I spent the rest of the day attempting to clean out my room of all my old stuff. So right now I can barely get to my bed, and it looks like a hurricane went through, but we've gotten rid of alot which is good apparently =) but theres alot more to be done.

G'night
